[ Honestly, it's a pain. Yes, Dazai lives in squalor - his home a rundown mess - but he made it that way. If he's the one making the mess, it's fine; if it's some foolish rampaging oni, then he has a problem with it. Ah, all his empty bottles, broken... and his bed (which he only sleeps on sometimes, but that's beside the point) is completely ruined. At least he's taken care of the oni for the moment, but when he wakes up, they are going to have a thing or two to discuss.

How dare he! Does he not know who Dazai is? It was easy enough for him to seal the curse, not out of pity or a willingness to help, but because leaving it be would just end up causing more of a mess for him to deal with.

Maybe this will finally get him to clean up the place.

Ah, what a funny joke. Dazai sighs, kicks at one of the broken bedposts. ]

And how will you make up for this, hm?

[ He's talking to himself, which is not unusual; the oni has been out cold for who knows how long. Dazai doesn't particularly care, but dragging the body out of his home is too much effort. He'll just have to wait, give the man a piece of his mind, and demand compensation. ]

[ It's still a bed??? Kind of? ]

It's the mattress I sleep on.

[ Dazai moves over, and pushes his foot against this rude asshole's shoulder. Intruding on his space. Wrecking his bed (that he hardly even sleeps on). ]

Call me Dazai-sama.

[ Yes. ]

[indensity]

[Chuuya might be grateful to this guy for sealing his curse, but that only goes so far. And he's definitely not about to allow him to fucking step on him.]

No way in hell am I calling you that.

[He grabs that leg and tries to yank it, to make him fall.]

[dressing]

[ Dazai has to work to keep his balance; they probably look ridiculous right now. ]

What's that? Who are you addressing?

[ Yeah, he's going to be obnoxious about this, still trying to step down even while he wobbles precariously. ]

[indensity]

[He should have known that wasn't enough. This guy was strong enough to stop him during a rampage, after all. But still.]

Apparently I'm addressing nobody.

[So he'll just kick that other leg out from under him.]

[dressing]

[ This time, Dazai lands on his ass, and he is not happy about it. He's incredibly powerful, but physically? Well, he could probably stand to work out a bit more.

...but that's not the issue! Reaching out, Dazai grabs at whatever he can - clothing, arm, whatever - to try and drag Chuuya off his bed. Well, mattress. ]

I could kill you like that.

[indensity]

[Chuuya lets out a short laugh as the guy hits his ass. That's satisfying, and some light exercise always feels good, so when the bastard decides to fight back he only gets more excited.]

You really couldn't.

[He grabs onto the mattress with one hand, and then starts to push Dazai away with his foot. That's payback for stepping on him.]

[dressing]

[ Dazai is an all-powerful being. So of course he crawls over and full-body grabs his opponent to drag him off the mattress; at least he's got long limbs, and this guy is... well. His height leaves much to be desired. ]

I've decided to just call you Dog, since that's what you'll be as long as you're here.

[indensity]

[Chuuya might be short, but he's a lot stronger than he looks, and if there's one thing he knows how to do it's fight. He's not getting off this mattress - so he'll grab the bastard, and try to flip them both over so he's on top.]

You're the fox here. Isn't that basically a dog?

[dressing]

[ Excuse him? ]

I changed my mind; even dog is too kind for you. You're just a mongrel who destroyed my property.

[ He spits, because Dazai has the maturity of a teenage boy, despite being centuries old. ]

[indensity]

And I can destroy more than that.

[Since they're wrestling anyway, he'll try to get a good grip around this bastard's throat and squeeze. It's not much of a threat since he can't risk this seal on his curse being broken, but hopefully the guy will panic and forget that detail.]

I'm no one's dog. Got it?

[dressing]

[ The hands around his throat simply make Dazai laugh. ]

Go ahead. Do you think you can kill me like that?

[ Oh, if only! ]

Keep going, Dog.

[indensity]

[Chuuya narrows his eyes, trying to gauge if this guy is serious. Well, that ruins a lot of his fun, and that just really pisses him off. He tightens his grip anyway, tight enough to make breathing a struggle.]

So you're into that. I should have known just looking at you.

[He doesn't want to just stop, though. That would mean this guy wins. So instead he lets go with one hand, making a quick swipe down, dragging sharp claws across his chest, just to see if he bleeds.]

[dressing]

Maybe I am. Are you up to playing?

[ Dazai's voice is tight with the effort it takes to speak. Go ahead! Ah, wait- ]

Ow, not like that!

[ Does he bleed? Of course. Dazai may be a yokai, but he's flesh and blood... Well, mostly. That said, as much as he's up to being choked to death, he does not want to bleed out on the floor. ]

[indensity]

No? Can't take it?

[He can't help watching the blood for a few moments. It looks good, he thinks. He shouldn't let it distract him, though, and why not give this bastard what he wants. He'll get both hands back on his neck, tightening his grip slowly until he's cutting off his air... and after holding it for a few moments, slowly releasing it again.

But he's not letting go completely.]

I'm always up to playing with someone who can take it.

[dressing]

[ Oh. Hm! This isn't bad at all. Dazai absolutely has been choked before - both in a sexy and a not-so-sexy way, so he knows there's merit to it. He likes the way it makes his vision fuzz slightly, and everything go vaguely muted. ]

Coward. You could kill me right now, and you won't? Tsk.

[ He speaks when those hands loosen enough for him to do so. ]

[indensity]

[Ugh. It's a tempting offer. He could kill this guy, get rid of him, shut him up for good, but --]

I obviously can't. Not while your damn seal is the only thing holding back this curse.

[But that doesn't mean he can't keep choking him. He cuts off his air again before he can reply, holding it for longer this time. He wants him gasping.]

But I'll find a way to break this curse, and then I'll take care of you.

[dressing]

[ Uh huh, uh huh. It's Dazai's amazing ability to seal the curse that is saving this asshole's skin. He looks visibly smug, even with the whole choking thing, even as he gasps for air and chokes out a laugh.

It's hard to talk, but Dazai has never been able to shut up. It's one of his... well. Definitely not flaws, because he has none of those. ]

Take care of me? I can't wait.

[indensity]

[Chuuya tightens his grip even more just to cut off those words, and especially that laugh. He really shouldn't have taken the bait to start with, but he's never been one to turn down that kind of direct challenge. And the bastard deserves to get his ass kicked all the way into next week.

He lets go.]

Yeah, but I won't be taking care of you like this. If you're into being on your back, I think I'll leave you with blue balls. Find a way that's more fun for me.

[He's still sitting on him, though. Doesn't feel like letting him get up.]

[dressing]

[ This is clearly a man who is easily baited, which is... almost delightful, if the circumstances were less annoying. Dazai is still mourning his bed.

He's not surprised when his neck is released. He's already got this guy's number; there's no way he'd have the balls to do it. ]

Oh, so what you're telling me is that you prefer being the one on your back. Is that it?

[ Dazai wiggles his hips. ]

[indensity]

[Immediately Chuuya presses down to pin the bastard's hips in place. He scowls, grabbing onto his shoulders instead to avoid giving him any more freedom.]

When the hell did I say that?

[It's true, but this guy doesn't need to know that. It's almost a shame, because blowing off some steam would be good right now, he's frustrated from everything, from the curse, and it's making his entire body tense. He needs to let it all go for a bit - on his own terms.]

As if someone like you could ever earn the right anyway.

[dressing]

[ Instead of being annoyed, Dazai finds that he's sort of enjoying himself. Like a silly game. Playing with your food, if you will. ]

Earning the right? What are you, a princess?

[ Childish banter, but Dazai has long since given up having any shame. He'll fight dirty; he'll say the most annoying things if he knows it's getting under his opponent's skin. And thankfully... this guy seems to be pretty susceptible to obnoxious teasing. ]

[indensity]

[It's definitely getting to him. He'll blame it on being tired, and on the fact that technically he owes this guy, which is pissing him off. He doesn't want to be grateful when they're giving each other shit.]

Like hell I am. But I'm damn good, so why would I waste my time on someone less impressive.

[That came out sounding more like a challenge than he meant it to. He pulls back a bit from pinning Dazai down, looking frustrated.]

[dressing]

[ Dazai's eyebrow lifts. He pushes himself up a bit with the opportunity Chuuya's given him. ]

Less impressive? You clearly have no idea who I am.

[ Normally, someone like Dazai - older than he can count, and with all the spiritual power that comes along with age - would be incredibly offended by such a slight. But Dazai only cares about that sort of thing when it benefits him. ]

I'll give you two options.

[indensity]

[Chuuya should shove him back down again. He doesn't. Or he could get off him completely, put some distance between them, but that would make it seem like he's running away. And he's not. That doesn't mean he's at all interested.]

And what options are those?

[He shouldn't entertain it at all, but this is starting to feel too much like a challenge. And now that he's looking, he kind of has to admit that this bastard is good looking, too, which just pisses Chuuya off more. He could at least have the decency to be ugly instead of actually somewhat tempting.]

[dressing]

[ the options aren’t really options at all. they both lead to the same thing, and dazai has a very distinct feeling it’s absolutely going to piss this guy off.

which is why it’s fun, of course. ]

You can kill me, or I can fuck you.

[ dazai will present chuuya with a choice that really only has one answer. if he kills dazai — likely impossible — then he’ll rampage again. nothing will keep that curse in check. ]
