He knows that every year, his subordinates do something for him, because he's actually liked among them--not that the ADA doesn't do anything for Dazai on his birthday. He knows there was alcohol involved, knows the venue, knows that Chuuya probably had a good time, and that he's going to ruin that by being here.
And, he doesn't care. It takes Chuuya long enough to notice, to the point where Dazai does actually start considering jumping up and scaring him. He clicks his tongue, mocking disappointment.]
