They both hate relying on people; the way they go about avoiding it is simply different. Jouno shuns it altogether, while Dazai is as obnoxious about it as possible until it's something he really needs help with--when he disappears entirely. A great solution, if you ask him.
The drink really does taste terrible.
He hums as they walk, something that Dazai already knows will annoy Jouno. He also knows how this usually goes, and he has no problem with it. It's not like a few extra bandages will be noticed. He's always claimed to hate pain, but he also hates a lot of things he does anyway, so...
"Your driver? I forgot how much you embrace that rich kid aesthetic." Dazai steers them towards the car he knows as Jouno's. He's also got a driver, but like hell is he going to actually use them unless it's really convenient. He'd rather send them off on wild goose chases and waste his father's money.
That being said, he did get a ride here from said driver. He told them to wait for him, with no plans to actually take the car home. He wonders how long they'll wait before giving up.
