Oh, Dazai knows that Jouno would rather not talk to him. Isn't that how it always is? But if he simply didn't speak to people who hated him, Dazai's social circle would be so much smaller than it already is, and he'd be bored at this party. Jouno is interesting. He's amusing. He's a terrible person, much like Dazai himself, and so shouldn't they be friends? Or at least enemies. Frenemies?
"Of course it's all juvenile. This is a high school party, not some fancy soiree your parents host." Dazai's father hosts those sorts of parties, too. They're even worse than this is. At least nobody here has any qualms about getting shitfaced.
Jouno suggests getting out of here, and honestly, that was what Dazai was waiting for. The smile on his face is absolutely obnoxious--probably best that Jouno can't see just how much--and he downs the rest of his unpleasant-tasting drink. If he's going to get a fresh one, he'll take as much as possible.
"Already tired of putting on that fake smile of yours?" Not that Jouno is making any attempt at it tonight. "Do you want another drink before we go?"
He doesn't offer because Jouno is more pleasant when he's drunk. If anything, he complains twice as much.
