"You were feeling generous?" Dazai's voice is very clearly skeptical, letting Jouno know he doesn't believe it. He clicks his tongue when the knife cuts a hole in the hem of his shirt; it's not one he likes, because Dazai knows Jouno doesn't give a shit about destroying his clothes, but it's still something he wears. "You ought to pay me for all the shirts you've ruined since we started doing this."
Not that Dazai really needs him to. They both come from families with money; Dazai just doesn't really use his. He's got no interest in fancy things. He lives with the bare minimum simply because he doesn't care to have more, which is why shopping for clothes Jouno ruins is such a pain.
"I'm offended you think I'd ask him." Dazai keeps himself still while Jouno cuts away at the fabric, though he neither confirms nor denies. It's a sharp knife. "All the girls I've asked have outright denied me."
The air is cool even against the bandages underneath his shirt; Dazai shifts his body to make it easier, not in the mood to fight right now. They've done that before, though. "Is this the same roommate you're tutoring? I can't believe you, of all people, would want anything to be simple."
Dazai knows very well that Jouno likes to dig deep, to try and crack people open and dig at their worst. It's possibly one of the reason they're 'friends', though Jouno hasn't managed to do it to Dazai just yet. The rot there run fairly deep.
